If you’re here for its summer sun, July and August are peak (for beauty and visitors). Spring brings clement conditions ideal for hiking and exploring the park's sprawling landscapes.

Getting there

  • Planes

    International flights tend to touch down at Portland’s jetport, which is around three hours’ from the national park by car. If you’re arriving from within the US, Bangor Airport is a two-hour drive away, and the park’s closest airport.

  • Automobiles

    A car will come in handy around here, and you’ll need to buy a pass to access Acadia National Park. Passes are $35 for a week, available at the entrance or online.
