Each has a queen-size bed, old oak floors, silk curtains and furniture from China and Italy; in the ensuite bathroom, there's a shower that's been adapted for those with reduced mobility. If you'd rather a little extra space, we'd recommend opting for a different room category.

These elegantly designed Junior suites are located right next to the Tres Margarit pool, and benefit from their own private balcony with fine views of the valley. In the bedroom, there’s a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and bath tub. These suites also have their own spacious living area with a comfortable sofa. What’s more, there’s a minibar, air conditioning, flatscreen TV, central heating and daily room service. Ideal for couples, these suites can accommodate up to two people.

The Garden Suite is decked out in a contemporary style by Cristina Gabas and has some mediaeval touches, such as ancient timbers and unfinished stone. Light colours and natural materials add up to a relaxing environment. The suite includes a sitting room and both the bathroom and the bedroom have balconies with spectacular views of the fields of Empordà. A third adult and a child can sleep on the suite's sofa bed, but an extra bed can be added if preferred for €50 per night.
